A very fun, challenging and underrated game for NES

The graphics are solid and more detailed than most NES games the others look like spaghetti most shooters do

Impressive! This has to be the toughest shmup on the NES.
@ghegs8 жыл бұрын
+David Halligan Oh, I wouldn't say that. There's quite a few NES shmups that are harder, even more if you start looking at Famicom-exclusives.
@ransmomebloke19496 жыл бұрын
Such an underrated game though. I've never seen it on a list of hardest games to beat on the NES. Battle Toads seems to be the popular pick. I think Section Z is much more difficult. Great skills man! Enjoyed the video a lot.

@@ransmomebloke1949 This game is hard but it's possible to beat it. Battletoads is much harder.
@BIGDINKMAN4 жыл бұрын
Battletoads was a breeze compared to section z. Hardest i would say would be silver surfer. But harder ones that that should exist. I haven’t played them all.
@joegoodman82134 жыл бұрын
I could beat silver surfer. I owned this game and could never beat it. Sometimes when I went into one of the 2 warps at the end of the section, it would kill me and I didn't figure out why.

Very impressive, I had this as a kid and only made it to the first boss. I tried again today thinking I'm a much better player, I'm still in the same boat 25 years later 🤦 U make it look so easy.

My older brother played the shit out of this game. He made it to the last level finally but before he reached the end he died. Man he was cussing for almost 5 mins and he never played the game again. 😂 RIP I miss yah bro.

One of those games that, for no necessary reason, just happens to have a fantastic bassline.

This game has one of my favorite endings from the NES era. Hard as hell though. I definitely had a harder time than you did though!

Why does this remind me of Metroid? I remember playing this over 20 years ago and never though about the similarities. Kid Icarus reminds me of Metroid as well.
@ernestclark55034 жыл бұрын
Some of the sound effects in this game sounds like out of the NES Metroid game like the missle sound effects and it being in some far off place in a far away galaxy Probably why it reminds you of Metroid
@missilesplz Жыл бұрын
Kid Icarus and Metroid are made by the same team using the same game engine and same composer, so that's not so strange.

I don't think i ever seen the second stage boss ever. Think they made it hard enough? And i never heard this third music track ever. Kinda weird this is the first time i ever heard it
@worsethanhitlerpt.2539 Жыл бұрын
Its not that hard if you can avoid touching the Enemy ships which kills you instantly and you lose your weapon upgrades. Navigating the maze is mostly going UP every time until you get set back then figure out which level is DOWN

this game drove me nuts.. couldn’t play these side scrolling shooters for a long time after section z .. then i found einhander .. and lost my mind again

They need to limit the modern consoles sound capabilities so they can only sound like NES games. Make games so much better with this type of music. OH EYAH

nope
@skipfuego6339 Жыл бұрын
@@Schush I have the arcade version and my og copy of section z. The music beats on the nes alone is better than the arcade version, the outfit on the main character in NES version looks more modern and futuristic compared to that boring looking comic book outfit in the arcade. The only thing that stands out in the arcade version is the difficulty of the game. Other than that, the arcade version wasn't good like that. Now if we were talking about games like ghost n goblins arcade version then yeah for sure it would blow the console version out the water, but we're talking about section z.
