@SteveGellerMusic2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure it would. Dr Oz would probably stumble around in his answer, but that's because he is stupid and bungles every answer. But moderately competent Republicans love answering the "how can you live with being so rich when so many people are poor" question. They can proudly say "I worked hard and built my own wealth, and so I not only deserve every penny, I celebrate it as a monument to the American Dream. Why do you hate success, and why should people who didn't work as hard as I did get the same outcome? Careful, everyone, my Libtard opponent is going to take away your stuff if you get too successful. Maybe he'll give it to illegal aliens so they can sit on the property that you earned and laugh at you and your country." And people are so conditioned to equate "work ethic" with morality that they'll side with the rich person who belittles poverty, instead of siding with the quest that everyone gets a house.

@odoylerules772 жыл бұрын
@@Hipfireturtle it's a little more complicated than that. The margins in Healthcare are ever decreasing. Now if you get rid of the middle man, it should open up some savings from the provider standpoint, not having as robust of a billing or admin dept. However if suddenly every patient started paying Medicare rates, docs would go under fast. Because it's true that Medicare hardly pays. You want to treat pts but at the end of the day you need a sustainable profit. Practicing medicine is not nearly as lucrative as it once was. So if we go to single payer, there would have to be a marginal increase in the reimbursement rates compared to Medicare as it is now. Even with the added cost savings of cutting out the middle man, the rates as they are now are truly not sustainable if EVERY patient is paying those rates.
