Secure Calling & WebRTC with Asterisk PBX and Raspberry Pi

In this video I'm going to show you how to make a CA certificate using OpenSSL, and then from that we will make a machine certificate that we install into the Asterisk PBX. We will then make a secure call using the newly created TLS based secure connection, and then we will make a connection to Asterisk Web Socket service demonstrating WebRTC.

Great stuff!!! But i have a suggestion: in every video you upload, you start at point zero... Means: downloading the raspian image and install it on SD card and all the following stuff you shown in the previous videos...... I think you can skip that and give a note to your other videos you show this... Just bring your focus to the single action you want to show... e.g. adding this LCD screen to the Raspberry and configuration of all the parts needed for this "single action".. Can you please make a video (including needed Devices) for adding a analog device (e.g. Multifuncion printer as a fax) to asterisk? This will be very interesting for me... ;) Kind regards from Germany...

Thanks for the feedback. I sometime wonder if repeating the installation is a little boring, but in truth, over the last year the installation process has changed quite a bit. I'm also worried that I may loose viewers if they have to go off to another video to find out how to do something. Keeping people's attention is tricky. ;-)

The web phone is covered in more detail here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4SVaamciZ2qgJo Although this is based on chan_sip the pjsip version is on it way. However in the mean while, take a look at the video and familiarise your self with the phone. Also check out the GitHub project page for more information: github.com/InnovateAsterisk/Browser-Phone The Phone makes use of a few libraries, all of them will be automatically downloaded.

Can I enable this in FreePBX platform?

The principals of the certificate, (the ca, and the server cert), will be the same. From there you can apply these certificates to your FreePBX config, and to external devices like phones.

Try to build the certificates as your example... The command at minute 28:00 generates an error: x509: Unknown Parameter createserial What happened here? Can you help?

Problem solved... Your KZbin icon in the corner bottom-right is the "creator" of the issue.. It don't let me see the command -CAcreateserial in complete... the -CA at this command was missing... In this case i think it can be a cool idea to provide all the commands you type or copy & paste in, in a additional text file.. So issues like mine can't happen ;) Thank you!!!
