We take a look at a Logistics van set up to secure freight in many basic configurations. Securement pays. The better you can safely load fragile stuff, the more you will be called and paid to do it!

I like your lay out and it is functional for your needs and the LED lights do so much to add light and coverage .

Thanks for the tour and interesting specs of your trailer. Please consider a video on actual load securement.

Can you still pick up a full 53’ load? What do you do with your blankets, load bars, etc

That trailer I sold mid pandemic in favor of a reefer. I had belly boxes that held 100 pads and 50 straps. A step ladder and chains. The 34 bars I had were mounted to the ceiling. I was only 104 inches the first 12 feet. After that I had full 110 inches floor to ceiling. This was the absolute best set up to catch just about every conceivable load not needing a lift gate.

How are the rivots holding up when the loadbars are used to supprt the second layer of the load resting on a plywood shelf?

Nick Altvater this is exactly what the logistic posts are designed to do. An 8 foot section is supported by 5 beams. Plenty of support.

What is the rating per sqft?
@starcardave3395 жыл бұрын
Nick Altvater you’d make a liar out of me if I answered. The bars are rated 1000lbs each. The posts should be at least 500lbs per slot in steel. Probably less on the aluminum posts. I would think you could safely put about 4 pallets on 2 sheets supported by 5 bars and have 1000 lbs on each pallet. Decking general though is not used for heavy stuff.

i saw a used trailer with e tracks installed it was a 2019 i was debating weather to buy with financing or to just buy outright a 2007 without financing do the e tracks make you more money? do some shippers like ball refuse due to insufficient trailer width?

My recommendation is to buy a 3-4 year old trailer and finance it if you can get below 8% interest. You also want to make sure there is no prepayment penalty. If you make good money, a five year note can be paid in two years and you’ll have a pretty much problem free asset for at least the next 5-7 years. Then you can still sell it for $10K and buy new in cash. I switched to reefer, so I bought a 2016 in cash. New was too expensive.

Nice how much was the cost

shawn Willis I bought the 2015 March of 2017 for $25K. I have since put in lights in the trailer $1000, belly boxes $6,000, 16’ ramps and hanger $3000, extra E Track $800. I’m now one of the first trucks that get called when something special needs moved. It has increased my RPM. I hope to keep busy with the good stuff when everybody else is slow this winter.

Where can you have the E-Track installed.

Just about any trailer shop can do it. I did my full 53’ sections at the Utility dealer in Lancaster PA. I’m going to go to TriState in Lancaster to do partial sections. I may buy a Vanguard Logistic post trailer from them later on. I’m working on a quote through them this week.

Columbia Glider Dave appreciate the info. I bought mine in Smithton Pa and I asked them about it but they looked at me like I was crazy. I seen one guy at MATS that had a prototype built but not ready to sell it yet.
