The file version is essentially a little easier to set up because you don't have to worry about nuking a whole partition or drive first, but it also has more limitations, and ultimately adds complexity to the process without adding a lot of value. Feel free to ask questions if you decide to do it that way and get hung up on anything.

I followed these steps and the estimated time for encryption is 5 hours. This is for 530 MB of info on a 1 TB external hard drive. Doesn't seem normal to take this long....?

hello, your video helped me a lot! a big thank-you. I would like to know how can I eject the disk after dismounting the disk? On Windows we can eject the disk even after dismounting the disk. thanks

Thank you for this great video, i have an Emmc can i wipe it one time also ? Also can i create the backup disk on the hard disk an move it to a micro SD on my phone wich is encrypted by the phone?
