Honestly, Michael being Glamrock Freddy is actually a really strong theory. Especially with so much evidence to back it. I even think his being back is a callback to his similarities to his father. Michael is CONSTANTLY compared to his father in different ways. So Michael always coming back as his father does would also make sense, because it ties him once again back to being like his father. He is like William except he actually feels bad for people and has a heart and regrets things he does. Basically, he's William just...100x better than him because he still has strong morals and works hard to make amends for his wrong doings.

I think theres a chance the Micheal = Glamrock Freddy is true though the other theory that exists about Gregory being C.C/Evan Afton is more incorrect since at least for Freddy we have evidence that shows he is more than he seems but for Gregory he lacks evidence plus we could say the reason Freddy/Micheal protects Gregory is because he gets reminded of C.C and wants to make up for his sins and do his best to make sure Gregory doesn't die by his or anyone elses hands
