I’m impressed by the way you politely disengaged from the cop explaining a restricted area to you. They generally deal with the ignorant and educated, so I understand why they “copsplain”. I think the way you handled it helped highlight how it wasn’t necessary, getting into any back and forth about it doesn’t help either party in this situation.

More people need to understand when your in public or in a public building you have no right to privacy and if the employees have a concern for privacy with peoples paper work then then it's their responsibility to create that privacy

If someone walked up and put the camera over my shoulder, I would simply exit the transaction and leave. As far as someone walking up while I am eating like in a restaurant, that would be private property and different rules apply. In any event that would be rude. That is a far cry from what is happening here. What is happing here is ALREADY ON CAMERA.

I think the clowns working there would claim that the building cameras would have private information redacted if anyone FOIA requested it. But the real issue is that the people working there are too lazy or clueless to do the right thing, which is to arrange things so that private information is not visible from publicly accessible areas. Claiming that people cannot record in public areas because private information is visible is forfeiting their duties. If the information is visible, then anyone could just see it and remember it, or else record it with a hidden camera. So their rule about not recording because of private information is worse than useless. Instead of helping, it just gives the clowns working there an excuse for not keeping private information out of view.

I have studied these auditing videos extensively and women that are very attractive are far less likely to get bothered, they don't mind public exposure as much. What is being exposed is insecurities more than anything else.

Yes I agree and then when it comes to them wanting to bust people they have no problem notifying each other across different agencies. Why can't it be this way with memos on the First amendment. DHS already sent out one but it seems that there needs to be another one or a reminder every year.

Sometimes a picture (e.g. you walking away during his lecture) really is worth a thousand words (e.g. you painstakingly verbally explaining to him why you're not legally obligated to listen).
