With the camera it feels more like the old FNAF's but with more active gameplay in the sense that you can move from room to room. While it does allow you to see the robots better and see the work that was put into them, even letting you see Baby, it feels more like the older games rather than something new.

SEAN LIBRES (WARNING: POOR ENGLISH. Im russian) I think in custom night we have to shock main animatronics and we will have like mask in FNAF2. If main or small (Bidybab, minirena, hand bonnie) animatronics is released we will move on ventilation with flashlight and if animatronic is there drop the mask, and wait animatronics to go away. We also have to shock baby all the time cause she know that you're human and mask will not help, like puppet. And Bidybab, Minirena and hand bonnie will be like toy variations. We will need to move the locations and fix something (generators for example). And if we survive to 6 AM and turn on the generators, we won. If we keep generators turned off you lose, cause the energy is low. You will be dead like in FNAF 1. Thats my idea. Dont know what Scott will make for us.

Considering how well this all fits, I wonder if this was the original intent. It makes the "move faster" during the vent section meaningful at least since then you could be chased by something. As for if this should've been the gameplay, personally I think the whole "each night is different" works for this game. It stands out compared to the others and helps explain why this isn't "FNaF 5," despite some channels calling it that in their videos. Would be a really cool mod though or alternate game mode, though maybe the upcoming Custom Night addition will be like this since the teaser has two animatronics in a vent. Instead of the usual "change difficulty" like in other Custom Nights, maybe this game's version will be more like a Level Editor where we get to choose everyone's behavior and what you have to do to win.

Yeah, I never understood why you could run in the vents when nothing can happen in there. I think Scott may have changed his mind about quite a few things along development. I don't think cameras were ever part of it, but it may have been less linear.
