Tell me if this makes any sense, if the hospital already have 50 CC TV in place and it didn't save her you really think.that 100 gone save her they have jobs in that hospital but many don't do them especially when digicel rising stars is on like a few years back banging on the the counters right in the ward with the patients and these where nurses you have no idea about maypen hospital I hope it's a changed place today smh

Protesting have nothing to do with this ,the man of unsound mind didn't bust down the gates and come on the compound he was brought in as a patient,his hands were supposed to be bound and also his feet if all of this was in place he couldn't have attacked the nurse so who is to be blamed for all of this?

A mentally ill man use to roam the hospital compound approx.two years ago.He even use to sleep on the regular benches inside the hospital and the nurses and staff members accommodated him and he was seen entering sensitive areas at times.I couldnt understand how the same staff members and security use to allow that mentally ill man on the Denbigh Hospital compound. My wife told me that he was killed a few months ago. This is JAMAICA...SOMETHING ISNT DONE TO CORRECT A SITUATION UNLESS SOMETHING SERIOUS AS THE NURSE BEING HIT IN THE HEAD BY A MAD MAN OR SOMEONE IS KILLED. SAD,SAD,SAD. THIS IS THE SAME HOSPITAL that the monkey pox patient escaped from and the same hospital where a gunshot victim was shot thtough his room window and killed under Police guard.

You are speaking of Damian.. who, yes was mentally ill, but was not aggressive and would willingly take his medication. Remember mental illness comes in various forms (suicidal ideation, depression, behaviour disorders etc). Damian has never attacked anyone and when he was killed the staff did protest that as well. So, accommodate someone who is calm and cooperative... or alienate hin to become aggressive and manic and a menace to society?? You decide. All in all, these various incidents have taken place at the institution while being serviced by varying security firms. Same with the doc's car being stolen, patient being removed from the compound and individuals coming onto the compound outside the allotted hours. Sadly, It's a matter of poor SECURITY because people just do not take their jobs seriously anymore. .

Abuse is not part of the job description. I hope this nurse pulls through ok and get all the support she needs. I am from May Pen and I know that area pretty well and I know security is paramount. The hospital should make sure that night staff are to escorted to their vehicle or taken home via taxi etc.

What's the reason for security on a compound if they are not doing what they are hired to do? That's crazy! The nurse could have been killed! The security/ securities on duty should be fired immediately!!

This what I am saying no foresee of danger in security guards , however guards cant be blame for unsound mind patients wondering on premises like that someone else in hospital should also be hell responsible base on how, when etc . Porters should be head in this incident too or care givers of ward unsound mind belong to , nurse involved I am sorry for your mishap and I am thankful for you to be alive right now .

😂 I am wondering if people have ever seen the job description of a porter aka orderly. 🤔 If a porter aids in a situation like this, it is out of duty to man and not contractual duty 😉.

Some have to dead to make some live that is the mentality of these politicians and it's sad. I sm happy she is still alive however let's look at long term effects.
