I have traveled in 03 Turkish cities in 2019 .... if you really want Tourism to flourish, eventually you will have to be used to world wide culture ! Insisting on Tourists to wear local dress even with polite way .... is not practical nor will be successful on mass scale !

It's used for cleaning teeth. I can tell you, people use it like "miswak" even roots of Walnut tree is used. We do so, in Kashmir.

My deepest desire is that the areas are preserved and kept free from the commercialization effect of tourism - and more than anything, that we are able to stop the effects of climate change especially in areas like this. In Indian occupied kashmir we used to brush our teeth with walnut tree root skin. They really help but a bitter in taste.
