So glad I found you and appreciate this detailed comparison. I love that this model has 2 fans so I could dehydrate a small amount of items. Could you let me know how well this worked out? Appreciate your help.

Can you do more dehydrator comparisons?

Hey there, thanks for watching - I'm glad it's helpful for you! We don't have any more videos planned, but we may be able to help. Did you have any more questions about these brands, or was there another brand you're wanting to know about?

When using the Combo Mode, can you specify the "Fast Mode's" high temp and "Raw Food" raw temp, or is it always 155 and 118 when using the combo mode?

What are the cabinets of these 2 dehydrators made of? Plastic?aluminum or Stainlessteel? Wondering if that’s the reason the Excalibur has to have the BPA warning and not the Sedona. Thanks for your review of these 2 products.

I'd like you to review the Excalibur 6 tray.

Great video i need the lower temperature range for making tempeh So the Sedona is my ticket there, if but i also require fan control Can i shut the fan of or at least turn the fan down low? Too much airflow can ruin the tempeh Also, what are the increments i can choose my temperatures in on Sedona? i would really prefer 1 degree increments,as most Excaliburs have Cheers

Hi there, I'm really glad it's helpful for you. The Sedona unfortunately does not have fan control. The temperature range varies between models, and you can set temperature in 1ºC or 10ºC increments. Thanks for watching!

İn the excalibur you can fully pull the back panel off and just have the plastic outer casing to clean inside and access the fan etc can you do that wih the sedona
@RawBlendAustralia Жыл бұрын
I don't think the back panel is meant to come off for cleaning, and my guess is this would void your warranty. You can't remove the back panel of the Sedona for safety reasons because this is where the heating elements and fans are located etc. Thanks for watching :)

you say the Sedona is SD-S9150, but I have another SEDONA SDE-S6780-B very alike but only one fan, but 11 stainless steel trays and the door opens to the left. do you think this one in your video is much more expensive?

Thank you for your comment! The Sedona Express model is a great model, and I use this model at home as well. The single fan design offers very efficient drying, and the Express model has a larger temperature range compared to the Combo, which is recommended for making jerky. Happy Dehydrating :)

Thanks for making this. I had no idea Excalibur had any competition. Also didn’t know the door comes off like that on the Excalibur and how shoddy the quality was.

Just curious I'm in the US and just ordered a Sedona Classic SD-S9000-B what are the 2 models numbers that you are comparing here. Btw the I just had my excalaber die on me after about 5 years the thermostat shorted out and when I called excalibur they told me that they could not provide a replacement hench the need to replace them, hopefully with a product that provides support after the warranty period. I guess we'll find out a few years down the road. Thanks for the video

The Sedona in this video is a SD-S9150. Yes unfortunately, Excalibur are not great when it comes to service and repair, which is a reason why we stopped selling them recently. Thanks for watching :)

I own both dehydrators and need a third to keep up with my needs. It will be another Excaliber. You make out like the "oven" type door is a selling point. It is in the way when inserting the bottom tray. To *safely* make beef jerky you need 165 degrees Fahrenheit which the Sedona doesn't do. The Excaliber does. I suspect you must get higher profit margines off the sales of the Sedona to be pushing them so hard.

Thank you for watching and providing your feedback. I have personally used both dehydrators, and I must say that I prefer the Sedona over the Excalibur however, this video was a factual comparisson. The Sedona offers superior features, including the convenient opening door you mentioned. It's quite apparent that having a door that doesn't need to be removed and placed on the bench is a significant selling point. I've never encountered any issues with inserting the bottom tray on a Sedona. Kindly note that the majority of our customers don't make jerky. For those who do, we recommend the Sedona Express model as it offers a higher temperature range.

Too bad the Sedona does not get up to 165⁰F

The Sedona Express model gets up to 167 F. Thanks for watching :)

Am really surprised you are a retailer for Excalibur - if I were them, I would rescind your dealership on the biased review. Your statement about the State of California - do your research, they state that on practically everything - the wokey Californians.
