See Fort Pulaski National Monument in Savannah (GA), one of the best preserved forts in the USA.

This was our first trip to this fort and like most national monuments, it was totally worth our time. Loved the history, the awesome park rangers, and the Lighthouse Trail with views of the defunct lighthouse. A must visit destination when visiting Savannah Georgia. Trip was taken mid-December.
