Your Krohniana looks so good! That's encouraging, I heard it was finicky and liked to die back randomly. I'll look foreword to the blooms, I love a bloom with a good scent. If you want another lovely scented one get a burtoniae, it smells like butterscotch

Wayetti has dark red blooms and they are so sweet looking. Mine bloomed just this past week for the first time! Your Hoya blooms are so great and I feel your excitement.

These are lovely hoya and congratulations on the blooms, always a thrilling event :) I sold my Krohniana, because unfortunately, to me the blooms smell like old pee. A few blooms turned my place into a public toilet smell wise, so that was no good 🫠 But I kept the cousin, Hoya Rebecca. Her scent is barely there and quite pleasing to me. I've had Wayetii bloom before. It is a sweet rotting smell, like over ripe fruit. But it is faint and you only smell it if you shove your nose in there so it's no big deal :)

Thanks for watching! My wayetii did bloom and I agree with the scent but it is now faint. Now my Pachyclada grew a peduncle/umbrel out of nowhere and will be blooming soon! So exciting

Your hoyas are stunning and it's so nice to see the beautiful blooms they have put out. It really is exciting. I had a parasitica yellow that bloomed for the first time earlier this spring. I actually smelled it from the adjoining room before I noticed it..

What is sulphur cleaning?
@hoyahaven Жыл бұрын
Sulphur dust for plants. It kills flat mites. They are so small you can't see with the naked eye but they eat new growth and leaves a lot of stubs where growth starts. You mix with water and spray on or can dust on dry.

Diatomaceous earth will cure mealy bugs. Just paint the dry powder on the bugs with a tiny small soft artist brush. The mealies will never return. Your hoyas are beautiful.

So awesome. I’m waiting for my Hoyas to bloom for me. My Shepherdii has 2 peduncles but I’m having leaves drop that are still green? Is your Shepherdii or most of your Hoya in Pon? I haven’t transferred the Shepherdii to my mix yet which is just orchid bark and perlite so should I do this? It’s been 2weeks now. I just don’t want to lose this plant. Congratulations on your blooms.

The Shepherdii I showed in this video is in pon. My hoya are in a variety of mediums. Lately I have been successful with h a leca pumice mix.

Ha ha they are called bloom SPURS not peduncles
@michelem3121 Жыл бұрын
A spur is the tip of a peduncle where the umbel comes from. So yes, see was showing us peduncles. Haha
