greeting from Japan. I'm planing to go to Thaipusam this weekend for the first time. Does anybody know what time should I arrive at Batu cave to see it ?

+kannesugi Hi there. During the main Thaipusam the area is busy all the time. Don't go there too late in the day, as the trains (I left around 5pm) get very busy and it is not very comfortable (have water with you for your return journey!).  Late morning (around 10.30am) is probably good or even earlier. Do note: It gets very hot and you have to adjust to all the people. The best way to get there from Kuala Lumpur is from KL Sentral Station. There are KTM Komuter trains going there every 15 or 30 minutes (journey takes about 30minutes). Be aware that you also have to line up at KL Sentral to get a ticket at the station! It really was a long line at KL Sentral and do make sure you purchase a return ticket so you don't have to line up on your way back into the city. It is very fun to see Thaipusam.
