Magnificent! Really there are no words, so just thank you for sharing your project. Wow. 🤯🫶 By the way, your cinematography has gotten quite good! The time lapse on lifting the stones was really cool. Those cranes are just insane in every respect and the fact that they can move is incredible too. And even the relatively "simple" step of cutting the top beam for the roof was cool to watch. Heck! Just the carbide cutting wheel trimming the face of that stone like butter was really cool! ... and the guy explaining how the cement behaves between the blocks! And really cool how you integrated the fog into the whole narrative. You guys are really getting good at this stuff!!!❤

That opening sentiment made my upcoming week. Straight out of a dramatic and inspirational film. We can work in the fog and with patience, the work will get done and the fog will eventually clear. This is an obvious point, but it struck me how something maybe not originally a priority, like the moat, becomes one because of safety. Though, there are a lot of doors and entry points on the…would that bottom servant floor be considered the basement or the rez-de-chaussée? So, it’s all a rich tapestry of reasons, no doubt.

I have been meaning to ask this question for ages: I have seen historic homes get massive scaffolding put up with a kind of shrink wrap put up over it and the craftspeople work under it (so it is set up with quite a bit of room between it and the building) even if huge stones need to go in - they remove that bit and then put the shrink wrap back on - this protects the whole building from the elements while you are working on it - even if it was put over the bit you had yet to work on: was this not available for one reason or another? Seeing the rain pour in was so stressful- and I have no skin in the game - so I can’t even imagine what it was like for you! The work is truly remarkable and on a governmental scale - wow 🤯 just inspirational- and the way you guys muck in and just keep going! It’s amazing!
