Our commercial vans are known for their toughness and reliability. But as we’re moving into an electrified future, we reimagined every aspect to be more than fit for purpose.
We’ve redesigned the new E-Transit Custom from the ground up with electrification and connectivity at its heart. So you get all of the toughness and versatility you’d expect from a Ford van, but with additional intelligent software and capabilities.
This all-electric van is created for better efficiency and zero driving emissions. And with up to 380 km** driving range, DC fast-charging and a comprehensive line-up of body styles, it’s ready to perform at its best while optimising your uptime.
The E-Transit Custom is more than just a vehicle, though. You’ll have the option to integrate Pro Power Onboard too. So you’ll be able to plug your power tools or laptop into the onboard socket before you get back on the road. In short, you’ll be powered throughout your working day.
And because none of our commercial vehicles are complete without sophisticated software to connect them, your E-Transit Custom van will be part of our Ford Pro integrated service. This means you’ll have access to useful fleet management tools (like Ford Pro E-Telematics and FordPass Pro) which will help you to keep tabs on a single work van, or the vehicle health of your entire fleet, as well as stay in touch with your drivers.
But that’s not all. The All-New exterior for the E-Transit Custom means you’ll be able to make an impression wherever you go. Signature headlights are connected by an LED strip across the bonnet.

Sharp looking van. Ford can literally be the greatest car company ever if they just tightened their quality control and reliability lately. Imagine if Fords were as reliable as a Honda, they’d sell 3x as many.

let me understand this they are selling point that joiners can use the transit batteries onsite. are these joiners supposed to sleep over night in the van while it is charging the batteries back up to go home? or are they bringing a petrol generator with them?

While probably a great van, to me it has lost quite a bit of the current Transit Custom’s dynamic look. This is much closer to the “heavy” shape of the competition from the current Peugeot/Opel/Citroën vans.

Statistically the charging port is in the most likely place to be damaged in a collision. Also in the UK with how prevalent tool theft from vans is forcing people to park with the rear doors towards the road is poor design. Unless the security of this E-Transit Custom is going to be leaps ahead of the current generation.

Make also plug in version but put powertrain from Kuga also in passanger model and will be much better than T7. If electric version has 90 KWh pack not 63..., id Buzz is in trouble.

Make sure no wet belt in the electrics engine failure is expensive for customers but perfect for fords busy mechanics booked with months of engine failures

If they keep the standard from the regular diesel, I think the range will actually be well under 200km.
