Hmm, I see Morayo doing exactly what she's blaming Osinbajo for. She's pushing Tinubu's interest here because she's on a TVC program - which belongs to Tinubu. Osinbajo acted just as wisely, he knew to correct his principal openly would send the wrong signals; so, he wisely lauded him, while promising us he would do better. Morayo wasn't fair to Osinbajo because praising his good works would have scored him extra points, so she down played his evident prowess at handling national issues which we all saw when Bubu left him in charge for a brief moment. It turned out that, more was expected of Osinbajo than was expected of Buhari. But countless times when he was expected to arise to his professing, when good conscience was demanded and the law needed protecting, Osinbajo turned blind eyes or said nothing. He failed good conscience and failed the law. Before our very eyes, a sacrilege was committed. A sitting Chief Justice of the Federation was removed in the most criminal conspiracies, and devious means employed. Osinbajo kept mum. Two stories are told in the Bible of two people favoured by a king. Queen Esther and Daniel. Both came to a point where they had to stand for a cause. They had to separate themselves to be counted. Both had to choose their people and their God at the risk of losing their lives. Every person who professes to a principle and value is TESTED. A man must be known and seen to stand for something. Professor Yemi Osinbajo stood for nothing when it mattered. Osinbajo by choosing to dine at the King's table when immorality and great evil reigned; When deaths were counted in thousands and the rule of law relegated to the gutters. When free speech and the right to peaceful protests were abrogated....when government became a full blown caricature and charlatans held supreme. Osinbajo failed God and a People when he continued with a gang of mindless megalomaniacs. Inspite of his fantastic CV, Yemi Osinbajo did NOTHING when so much was expected of him. I have weighed the pulse of opinions since his declaration. And they are telling of a people disappointed by a man. A trust failed. As it is impossible to separate a man in principles from the friends he keeps, so it is impossible to exonerate Yemi Osinbajo from the aberation that is the Buhari presidency. If he wins his party's ticket. The coming election is judgement day for Yemi Osinbajo in proxy for Buhari. It will be posterity speaking. If it is security, outline your policy drive. what ever it is you believe is the right policy that would move the country forward that you plan to implement, tell us. This would engender national conversations, experts in affected industry would weigh in on your proposed policy. People would then form camps based on what particular stance they support and form a social contract with the candidate they support. Also, while these policy trusts are discussed in the polity, the candidate would know which of the professionals or experts in the various industries support their policy trust and can pick the members of his cabinet even before getting into office. If candidates open up about proposed policy trusts, not only would Nigerians vote based on the proposed solutions to problems facing the country, they would participate in those national discussion that help to shape the future of the country at the right time. we tend to have these discussions at the tail end of a candidate political career, when our voices don’t matter. This would then turn to huge national blame game and the cycle continues. So let us break the wheel, let us leave the tribe or religion of our political candidates aside and join me in asking; Asiwaju, prof. Osibajo, Ameachi et al, please come and tell us how do you plan to fix Nigeria?
