Like everything else in Nigeria, the education system needs fundamental overhauling! Firstly, the children are taking way too many subjects and half of them are totally irrelevant to the modern labour market! One even wonders about the authenticity of the results when a child cannot answer basic questions about the subject supposedly passed in flying colours! Flo, just keep on contributing your own little quota to alleviate the problem. In the future, perhaps you can set up an education fund to support enterprising children in the community. Jisike!
@FloChinyere15 күн бұрын
Liiike! How can they bombard kids with 18 subjects?! How many hours per week do they actually do each of them? Commisioners and Ministers of education occupying offices doing nothing! Thank you. People usually send me an email to contribute to their education and to be honest, that's the best I can do now and in the forseeable future. For now any organized platform will be too much for me to handle.

@@orevarita8299 Thanks for the info. 😊 This was what I expected to hear from the girl. I am thinking about everything that needs to be in the curriculum for this subject and all of them can come under one chapter in Social Studies. Why create a different subject for it? The kids don't need to study this on a deeper level. Are they training to be DSS agents? And I am sure that one teacher will be teaching several subjects, making lesson notes for them, giving assignments, marking scripts and all whatnot for the same peanuts that they are paying teachers. Why dissect one big subject only for one teacher to still be teaching all of them? This is not progress but confusion.

But is it necessary for little kids be loaded with so many subjects. 12 yr olds here in Finland play video games before going to school and by 12 they are back to playing till night. I never see them read a book just play play play, I dont know if it it is good or not, compared to lots of homework, school work that little kids in Nigeria do.

@FloChinyere14 күн бұрын
That is how they cause confusion everywhere. Instead of streamlining the subjects, they are conplicating everything. And the annoying thing is that 1 teacher would be teaching 5 of these subjects thereby stretching them thin while paying them peanuts.

@FloChinyere15 күн бұрын
No. These kids and I already speak fluent Igbo so speaking Igbo with them in this video adds nothing to their knowledge of the language. What speaking too much Igbo in these videos does is to add more editing work for me because I need to translate for my non-Igbo viewers. Will you come and help me do that? I already speak lots of Igbo in these videos yet you have something to correct. Learn to enjoy videos as you see them and stop with the corrections and complaints because there's a reason for everything.
