I fiberglassed the bottom. I dont have to get wet but i can't take my storage box out. Im not sure if it affects speed. Im only running a 3.5 merc. I get 8mph average top speed. I ride river so current may effect mph.

how well does the fiberglass hold to the plastic?

@greg92043 i roughed it up with sand paper and used a locktite caulk smooth onto any outer edge of the fiberglass applied. I did it at the begging of summmer before last and its still solid.
