The Kent Hunt engraved J. Purdy & Sons 28 Bore Sidelock Shotgun is definitely the most beautifully engraved, over color case hardened steel example, I have ever seen.

$223,000 on an old gun with a brass frame? They could have bought 2,000 ARs for that much money and the AR is a better design then a brass frame levergun. Brass is an inferior metal co mpares to today's alloy steels and aluminum's.

Andy, it's apparent that this channel is not for you. You don't see the historical value in these firearms. * I'm sure that if you were to find out how much money a Winchester model 1886, serial number # 1, a rifle presented to an Army officer for the capture of an old indian (🤣🤣) brought at auction, you'd be banging your head against the fender of a Ford F250. Hmmmmmmmmm 🤔 all the beer and scratch off tickets you could've bought for that money.
