NA VAs have gotten so dull. They dont even try anymore. Modern Japanese VAs and oldschool NA VAs use to actually make a character out of the characters voice "think of bugs bunny or roger rabbit as relevant bunny characters for comparison ". Current NA VAs, especially female ones, just use their generic voice which is probably their normal voice and there is zero passion in it. Its such a shame.
