Awesome been waiting for more of the tree stand backgrounds. Would really like to see a late season with a more open background.

Finally. A lot of people needed a channel like this. Excellent job comparing the camos. I wonder, if they ever come up with one universal camo for all terrains and seasons. ASAT was supposedly an example of such a universal camo. Would you agree that it actually does the trick of being all season, all terrain camo? Thanks. LIKED and SUBbed
@CamoMatrix3 жыл бұрын
ASAT does a few things, it is deceptive in its pattern by breaking up that human outline and it uses the brown tone for the lighter background and the darker camo shapes. If you view it through my filter, which should be somewhat correct, ASAT does not change much, if any. So, if you are in green, brown, yellow or whatever, ASAT will almost always look the same to a "non-red coned" animal, even though the view of the background, to the prey, will change to a color range that ASAT is already in. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE COMMENT, LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE. I hope to produce better videos and comparisons as time rolls on.

@@CamoMatrix "ASAT does not change much....ASAT will almost always look the same to non-red coned animal" - so is this actually an adventage or a pro of ASAT or a con. Plainly speaking, is it good or bad? I got confused a little. Thanks mate!

I have greatly enjoyed your videos, but this one was GREAT. Over the years, I have used MO, RT, Kryptek, Nat Gear, and ASAT paying from next to nothing to big money for gear. As far as patterns go based on this view, coloring, etc...I must say how amazed I am at how well some of the MO and RT patterns looked from this view. There were talks for years about how MO and RT would blob up at so many yards away and I agree...but one thing I think is changing is the quality of prints on clothing now. The technology in printing and clothing materials are getting 'better' in terms of seeing the transitional colorations instead of them coming out dark and I think your videos are capturing that change. Thank you so much for doing this!

Thanks for the compliment. I to am a owner of the cheap Walmart specials and some of the higher end brands. I am a fan of all of them. I also enjoy seeing how they can differ and be the same. The still shot, taken from the video where I climbed the ladder stand, was made from a location I harvested a deer in 2019. So, as far a a location that deer would view you from, this one is spot on. Thanks again!

I got skylined by an 8 point this weekend with mossy oak terra gilla. I was in an oak tree that was covered with the light green almost white moss with some of the bark showing. The buck never spooked i was amazed how well the camo did with that particular scenario. No leaves on the trees and only some empty branches behind me way off. Pretty much looked like a broken off branch is the best i can say cause i was in my saddle leaning.
@CamoMatrix3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that input. Terra Gilla has those big color variations that break up that shape. It aways awesome when you think you got busted and then they go right back to what they were doing. Question is, did you take a shot?

@@CamoMatrix lets just say the hunt didnt go as i wanted. The deer ducked my first shot ran 15 yards and i ended up rushing my 2nd shot and my string hit my sleeve and made a horrible shot. Tracked the deer for over a mile and lost blood...i was pretty disgusted with myself.

Thanks. I am working on a new camo showdown piece that should work much better than my previous ones. And incorporate my photos from my last cross country trip.

@@CamoMatrix awsome, you have put camo patterns out there that i hadn't even heard of. Some really good patterns as well i like it. Looking forward to the showdown.

Wonder which ones glow in low light.🤔🤔🤔🤔because of uv brightening agents.

At one point i was washing all my hunting cottons in just baking soda to battle that UV.

@@redneckfarmer6584 It certainly made me feel like I was doing something to help. I couldn't tell. Sometimes I am busted by the wind and other times they walk right into the wind towards me without even a hint of being on edge.

@@CamoMatrix I don't know how scientific this would be but walk in front of a trail camera in low light. Anything made or washed with uv brightening agents will glow. Whether this is what a deer sees or not is up for debate.
@CamoMatrix3 жыл бұрын
@@redneckfarmer6584 I know what you are talking about, I have seen myself a thousand times looking like I am glowing white on my game cameras. I am not sure that is what deer see. Most game cameras use infrared light (really just red leds) and a filter to pick up the red. If you have ever had the red filter get stuck, all your daytime photos look like a pair of whitey tighties that got washed with the reds. (pinkish hue). So, I am not sure how it they really look to them. Usually, those clothes are highly synthetic and I think reflect any light and therefore, ultraviolets may glow just as much as those infrareds do. As my channel grows, I may see about getting some way to test if ultraviolets glow on all these synthetics. And, once I really know, I can add a filter to simulate it.
