In many European mythologies, oak is associated with the thunder gods and is in general a sacred tree. I believe it's also the tree that lightning likes to strike the most. And the mushrooms that were on the card were chanterelle mushrooms - my fav haha.

I love the illustrations. Has a dreamy look to them. This is a very interesting Oracle deck. I think of the red love string too when I see the red ribbon.

Pretty deck, I'm wanting this but will be moving soon so best not to order it if I don't know my address as of yet....and also curious how he made the associations with the plants, trees, etc with their meaning as there are so many books out there, and different cultures have different meanings, if I were to purchase it , I think it would be a starting point for me to do my research and mediatate for my own meanings . Love it 😀😍❤

I'm also very curious, especially when there are TWO sets of meanings and I'm not sure how come one precedes over the other in a different context! The deck isn't for sale yet hahaha I got a pre-sale copy from the publisher so you don't have to rush to order it!! I recommend moving first (I've had problems with missing mail a while ago so trust me you don't want to go through that). I'm glad this helped you in deciding if you want the deck

Seems like a very thoughtful and lovely deck. But it's a very Western, European set of plants. Do you find it alienating, Caspar? I'll bet a lot of these don't grow in Asia. Just curious.

You’re completely right Kirsten! This is why I have some blockers working with some of the beautiful animal and plant decks because I don’t see them here. They still do work especially when there’s keywords to help! In this case I appreciate the art but I don’t know how well it reads for me atm. Thanks for asking my friend
