I have used the Seed X1, 02 and 05. All are very good balls. Not just good for the money, flat out good. They all do what they say and do it well.

I use Seed SD-15 and I buy 5 dozen at a time to gain a bulk buy discount which works out at €1.12 per ball. Their packaging takes recycling into account, it doesn't have to be a shiney glossy box. Well done Seed!

I play these only issue at present is they only exist in white 😢. Seed logo and colour makes it very easy to spot own ball. For me the seed packaging is best.

I have been Playing seeds for a few years. You buy multiple boxes and get a reduced per box price. I won’t be buying expensive balls for snobbery value as that’s all it is. Their cheaper simply because they don’t pay people to use them. Try them you won’t regret it.

Hey Sophie, with your slow swing speed would not some of the other Titleist balls suit you better? I know a regular shaft would help your distance vs. the stiff shaft you are hitting.

Great review Sophie . Last 4 months I have been using decathlon's inesis tour 900 golf balls .they are a 3 piece urethane cover golf ball .I really like them a lot. They are only £29 a dozen.

I’ve been playing seed 15 balls for 2 years on subscription. Great value for money for a mid handicapper. Irish owned and great service. I also carry my seed balls in my seed bag which is made from recycled plastic bottles. The bigger brands just don’t offer the same value for money.

The Seed 1 & 2 have been compared recently with other golf ball brands and have come out very well. I have personally purchased golf balls from Vice direct to consumer. Both of these brands compare favourably and are cheaper to the normal amateurs golfer and is a bonus

In my opinion Low handicappers need to think more about what they hit but mid to high it doesn’t matter. I’ve not bought a new ball in 20-30 years and currently I’m finding the Costco Kirkland ball very good and very Durable. £1 a ball if buying new Free if found 😜

I have purchased golf balls at Costco. It is the Kirkland. In the USA, you can buy 2 dozen for $26.99. For just over $1 dollar a ball, I think it is a very good ball.

Tried the x1 recently and loved it, now my comp ball. Tried the sd-15 also expecting great things for a winter ball but was disappointed as like hitting a rock. Was the matte green so could be just that finish but not willing to have to buy a full 12 of the white ones to find out.

I want to give these a try. I only get Urethane cover balls but they don’t need to be Titleist for me. Trying out the OnCore - ELIXR & VERO 2 Maxfli Tour, Srixon QStar Tour, Taylor Made Tour Response, Vice Pro, and Seed SD-01 or SD-X1

Get hold of the SD-02. Been using it for a year now and amazing ball, won't be changing any time soon, also found them to be durable as well which is where some other DTC balls fall down
@terrythomas43002 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that review. I think I’ll give them a try. I have to say I like the packaging (the looks and that it’s recycled). Durability is less of an issue at my level as a mid handicapper I often loose a ball or two a round.

Welcome back Sophie. I think because of the Callaway QC debacle a few years back, I feel more confident that the extra money for the Pro V1 buys me peace of mind that the QC is there. I don't want to pay for all the extra with Titleist but how can we be sure that the QC and consistency is there with the lower price? Unfortunately £50 per dozen has become normal nowadays which is mind blowing in itself and says more about me than the industry as a whole. Can we really trust them Sophie? Would you play it on tour if money was the same?

Try the Maxfli Tour-- $105 for four dozen in the US (Dick's sporting goods). It is durable in gloss white, and is comparable to a ProV1-- which makes it less painful if you are playing a ball eater of a course.

I bought a couple of boxes of Seed X1s and their Country Miles ( much cheaper but a 2 piece ball). i must admit I went back to the ProV1s. I just HATE those thick black so-called alignment lines on these and other balls. That wasn't the reason though - it's a weird thing..! I'll still use them over time.

I play the Snell MTB-X or the Vice Pro Plus. I have an indoor launch monitor and have tested both these balls against the Pro-V1. As a 3 handicap, I can say that I saw no difference in distance/spin/launch/etc. And, when I took them to the short game area of my course, I also so no noticeable difference. I will never play ProV1 again.

One problem with these DTC golf balls is they often develop a ball that mimics the Pro V1 and Pro V1x. Unfortunately those two tour balls aren't necessarily the best balls for many of us in terms of swing speed, spin rate, ball flight, etc., etc. Since the better players wont likely play these I wish they would target the average hack like me and make a ball more slower swing friendly. The price suggests they are but thats about it.

Absolutely not ...Out of the box the seed balls feel and look brilliant even putting there not to shabby unfortunately that's it and if that's what you need go for it but personally I need to know a ball is going check up and stop when I need it too. I've tried these they just don't spin like your pro-v!!

I think Sophie hit something that I've struggled with, with the DTC balls. They just don't last! I can play sometimes 3-4 rounds with 1 ProV, but can't make it through half a round with one of these DTC brands! I don't lose many balls, so durability is important to me. I guess I'm just a ProV1 lifer!
@M82RKY2 жыл бұрын
Still not cheap when you consider what you get from Kirkland with their V2, £30-34 for 24 premium feel balls that also perform very well.....makes £25 a dozen balls seem expensive!
