Garden question....i have some purple sweet potatoes that sprouted but i live in Iowa......do i plant indoors and see how it goes or will the sprouts last until spring for planting?

Put them in water and they'll root up - makes it easier to plant them in the garden. Do you know when your planting out date is? Aim for then. You can be getting your ground ready I should be setting out sweet potatoes to sprout, but I haven't gotten that organized, yet.
