Sorry we missed you and Liz, I think we were there earlier when it was still raining and very busy. I did see Pete, but did not know he is a youtuber, just could not forget a moustache like that. We had a great time and bought a couple of apple trees.

So glad you enjoyed the seed swap, it’s a bit like a treasure hunt ! We have ours coming up in Northampton next weekend at St Mathews church rooms in Kingsley , find us @Northampton Seedy Saturday 2019. It will be our fifth one and we run it with Elsie’s Cafe which rescues food destined for landfill and turns it into tasty treats. Can’t wait, it’s so exciting !

Growing Aspagus from seed is useful because you find out which are the male and female plants. The female plants have the red berries. The male plants do not, and they are the ones to keep as they tend to make stronger thicker spears. I do keep one female plant nearby the bed for seed replacement.

I am growing asparagus from seed. Yes it is taking a while for it to get to harvest maturity. But they are not in the way or causing any work worth talking about, so I just let them grow!

I got there about quarter to 1 - was absolutely HEAVING. I didnt pick up much, as i am already mostly sorted this year, but i did pass on 35 packs to other people that i wouldnt have used, which was good. Got another local one weekend after next, but def will be back next year!

Me too, got one in Swindon in two weeks. Start a new Job in Swansea tommorow (mostly from home, thankfully) but if your one is close to Swansea, i might see if i can combine a trip to the office with it!

If my memory serves me correctly, there is a seed swap in the nearest city to me, but that is a 4.5 hour drive so I shan't be going. But it shows we do have seed swaps on this side of the pond Anna
