The expansion board is just awesome, especialls with the acrylic case (maybe stackable so you can put one or two additional plates under is for sensors?) and a pre-soldered XIAO. Really nice to see some of your engineers, the people who do all the developing. Well done you two!

Thank you for your kind words. The acrylic case is mainly designed for screen protection and battery accomodation. Great idea to add the sd slot. The most limiting thing I found on the Xiao was the small flash size!

Great video! *just one note regarding the use of the word “bazaar” in the English language, and I only make this point because I assume central to your purpose for this video would be driving traffic to your online “bazaar”; Although bazaar is a proper English word, it is seldom used these days and I think “store” would make more since in this context. Not a huge error, but you would likely get more traffic to the site if you updated the term. ... that’s all. Thank you for the video, very informative. Btw, the rest of the English was perfect - the above comment is only on the technicalities of the term used. Wish you luck!

Hi, I am confused about the battery connector on the expansion board. Will it serve as a charger for the lipo battery while the expansion board is plugged in or does the battery need to be charged separately. Also, I notice that the xiao does not retain my program when it is disconnected from power. When I plug it back in, I need to reload the program. That is not the case with standard Arduino boards and generic boards that I have used previously.

Which pin if any of the xiao is associated with built in LED? Can an LED be attached to Xiao w/o a resistor as with pin 13 of the Arduino Uno?

I am running the Xiao on the expansion board with Arduino IDE but I cannot get the SD card to work, or the built-in RTC to work. It worked fine when I hooked up an external RTC with DS3231. However, the built-in RTC does not hold the clock data. I installed a fresh battery. Am I doing something wrong?

With the expansion board, I have had a lot of fun with xiao SAMD21. Without the expansion board, the xiao gets lost in a tangle of wires.

I am disappointed that an Applications Engineer couldn't find the time or the means to locate and install code in the XIAO to demonstrate the OLED display, which to me was the only thing special about that expansion board.

I'm interested in the battery pack and the plexiglass enclosure as well. Will they be sold together?

It is a pitty that the battery pack is not being sold on bazaar for the concern on battery delivery safety issue. However, it is the most common 3.7V lipo battery with JST 2.0 connect, so I believe it could be easily found in local electronic store. Hope it will not bring to much troubles for you. As for the case, it will be released on bazaar as soon as possible. Stay tuned.

I bought 3 xiao’s and 2 of them bricked almost immediately The third bricked a week later I tried to reflash the bin file with a raspberry pi4. But it will not find the chip There seems to be a real problem with these Anyone else have any tips on how to recover them with a raspberry pi?

I’m so glad you make these videos. I almost bought some of this junk. After seeing and hearing you, I had that motion sickness one gets in the aisle of a Shenzhen market high rise. Why do you bother with this junk? You could be doing something productive. Do you honestly think that adding connector blocks to Arduino boards is a good use of your lives? Very, very sad to see the Shenzhen effect here now.

I ask because I saw the video as well and got the impression that this product is well thought out and serves a specific use case. Your comment seems to indicate the product is “junk”, can you elaborate on the connection to Shenzhen. I am sure other viewers would also like a better idea of what you mean. Of course though; if in case you are just being a dick for the sake of it then never mind. Thx.
