I think hes doing great minus a throw or two , better blocking on a play or two, wide receivers catch better on a play or two. Im not comparing, I'm not worried. This situation, with caleb is expected but what we are seeing, is that even with all the bad .... The line, the dropped passes, the lack of running. WE are still not losing by 21, we are missing the mark by a play or two , everyone just relax.

The comments are hilarious for the most part wanting to bash KW … why would we want to listen to a guy who has done it at the highest level and make the most of his opportunities because he WASN’T the number one overall pick. Also he is not blaming it all on the QB on a lot of plays. He questioned whether the route concept wasn’t good or did the receiver not run route the proper way to make read easier. As a QB I’d love to have this critique on our passing concepts. Also he mentioned that as the game slows down and Caleb isn’t overthinking it his reads will come faster & his feet will calm down. Kurt gave him some grace for being thrown into a lot of responsibility as a young qb

It's seems like a lot of the things he had an issue with are basic things that he would already have learned in college. I wonder if his mind is just overwhelmed with everything at the moment, and he's almost kind of rushing everything in his head and he really has more time then he thinks he has. I feel like once he settles in, he's gonna take off. Love these videos from Warner. No one does it better.

I did not get the impression Kurt was overly negative. Useful critiques to where Caleb needs to improve. Eyes in the right place to read the conflict defender. Eliminate the dead routes faster - which is harder in today’s NFL.

Weird how Kurt Warner can't even realize the miscommunication on that first pass to DJ. He didn't miss the throw by 5 yards. Caleb thought he was coming back. DJ ran a go. Not that hard to figure out. DJ confirmed this, which should have been obvious by watching.

a lot of these people over criticizing Caleb (3 games into his rookie year), comparing him to 3+ year vet (Justin Field) etc are people following narratives that they see from trolls of social media. is really disheartening that this is the type of reporting that exist in sports now ah days. even more so when it comes from fellow NFL vets - who should know how it is transitioning from college to the NFL. people are more so interested in fishing for engagements for their podcast, vs saying whats REAL
@oneputt4152Ай бұрын

This is as expected honestly, Caleb lived on making out-of-structure plays in college and now has to learn to beat teams with his head more than his arm and improvising, which what he can do with his arm is amazing and he can get away with some throws because of it, but if learns to get his eyes to the correct side based on the coverage more, he can be elite for sure, he just needs to keep learning, I'm encouraged by what I've seen so far.

Well it helps when your rookie QB doesn't have to do everything. Williams is getting 2 yards a carry of run support, very little pass protection and his coaches have him passing 40 times a game (2nd in the league) In comparison, Daniels is getting 6 yards a carry in run support, solid pass protection and passing 25 times a game (23rd in the league)

@@Banana16386 You’re right. The Steelers’ coaches and culture are eons better than Chicago’s. IMO the Bears asked JF to do way too much while having a turnstile OL (at least in the games I saw) and having Chase Claypool as a #2 WR. He’d have to be Brady or Rodgers to make that work even a little. IMO JF is making better decisions, maybe because he trusts his OL and he’s not asked to be the savior. Regarding CW, I got the sense from KW’s analysis that they’re asking CW to do a lot of pure progression. When his first read is open, he usually hits it, and he seems to have problems reading defenses (wasn’t this supposed to be his strength?) I think he’s going to settle down and be a good one eventually.

@@Banana16386 He's doing the same stuff he did in Chicago. Plus, everybody is ignoring the fact that the Steelers allowed 10, 6 and 10 points in the first 3 games. That's insane. The 85 Bears allowed 12 on average. Guess what, Fields won all games as a Bear when his defense allowed 10 or less... because any QB can do that. You need to be absurdly bad to not win a game when you only gave up 10 points.
