I don’t have any Ariel dolls (unless the Once Upon A Zombie Little Mermaid counts!) but I think the purple dress one is the nicest. I LOVE the “water” bracelet and collar and those shoes are amazing - such a clever way to keep the sea incorporated into her design.

I like the purple dress one. I would've liked some dangling water looking earrings and, perhaps, a pretty head decoration instead of the thing around her neck.

Agreed, I would have loved some kind of earrings. A water tiara would have been pretty, but I guess they had a specific vision in mind.

I love your kitty that makes an appearance in the beginning 😄 It is strange Disney Store sold the purple dress Mattel Ariel in their store. I mean it is nice she’s available in more places since last year’s Ariel was only available at Target and for a short time! These are both gorgeous Ariels (she’s also not my favorite princess but if it weren’t for her, we wouldn’t have the others so she’s always an icon). The Enchanted Elegance collection is so much better than that Radiance collection they had before (and yes it was also $75) and I’m glad they changed it! She really is beautiful but I’m hoping I’ll be able to get Mulan in 2025 if she’s still available 😊 I do like the plastic splash accessory but since you took it off, I do like her best without it. 😄 Oh wow the lining, amazed they did that on this Ariel! Okay I love how you put the accessory with her feet, genius! No I feel the purple dress Ariel does have a bigger head, too!

LOL yeah, Alfie likes to nap in my room, but when I start filming sometimes he gets curious. 😁 Yeah, I can't believe the Ariel from last year was so short-lived. She wasn't advertised as a limited edition... Yes, I'm so glad Mattel stepped it up for Enchanged Elegance. I would have thought you'd be getting Rapunzel out of the three of them! Though Mulan is also stunning. They really did do such an amazing job on purple dress Ariel, especially for $50. And especially because I think this is the first time anyone has made that dress for a doll? Usually Disney kind of ignores it lol.

@@KATC I like the Mattel purple dress Ariel better than the Disney Store’s one that they released as a set. Hahaha I know, I would have thought I would have liked Rapunzel most as well, but there’s just something so striking about Mulan, though maybe it’s just me as I can’t find anyone who’s done an unboxing of her yet.

I LOVE the purple dress ariel! Usually i try to make the movie outfits myself for my disney dolls, as i prefer them to be swooshy like they are in the movies😂 but this one might be an exception! Its so beautiful! Idk if i can afford 50 dollars on a single doll right anytime soon with the holidays coming up, but hopefully she'll be around long enough for me to get her.

@@KATC no I haven't made any of ariel's outfits yet, as I have gotten her mermaid outfit and wedding dress on different ariel dolls I've accumulated over the years, (Tho I do want to make a better version of her wedding dress because the one i have isn't full or fluffy enough) but I've made Cinderella's maid dress, I'm looking for material to make Cinderella's original silver ballgown, instead of the recolored blue version that's always sold with the dolls. I've made kida's main outfit, and customized a doll as her because her actual doll is pretty hard to find. I've made tarzan and Jane's clothes, his loincloth (as that was missing when i found him) and her ending jungle outfit. And I've made John smith a native outfit similar to Kocoum's so that since he stays with pocahontas (in my collection) he'll be dressed like everyone else in the tribe😊 alot of the fabrics I want to use for the disney outfits are hard to get at the walmart in my small town, so I have to wait till I'm in one of the bigger cities to go to joann's or Michael's to find things. I currently have materials gathered to make John a wedding outfit, and Cinderella's pink dress, Aurora's peasant dress, and ariel's blue dress. Oh and Shang's red cape. I just haven't cut the fabrics out and made them yet😂 I have so many sewing projects going on all at once, I've had to separate each project into its own bag to keep from mixing the fabric pieces up😂 that would be nice if I got her as a gift, but considering how many other dolls are on my birthday/ Christmas wishlist, who knows what I'll end up with😂

Great review, I ended up getting purple dress Ariel and Holiday Belle. You definitely sold me on getting the other Ariel. The purple dress Ariel looks like she has a bigger head.

LOL Ya I like the nick, bracelet, and water shoes!!! I think you know what am going to say ;) All of those water things would look great on both a Sailor Mercury and Sailor Neptune dolls!!

Oh? I've always thought of it as purple lol. I guess it depends on the quality of the clip. Maybe on an older VHS it looked more silver.

@@KATC You are the first person on KZbin to reply saying remembering the dress as purple. Maybe the VHS tapes or my eyes just suck!! Do you remember about 10 years now that whole "what color is the dress"? white/gold or blue/black? I saw it as white/gold and I was wrong!! LOL

I only wish Mattel used the water stand from the Live Acton Ariel for this doll too. It's already been made why not use it again?? Just make it clear like the rest of the other water accessories to match. Am guessing because Ariel is on a Barbie model muse body, Mattel wanted to make should Ariel would stand properly on the stand. But I wanted the water stand!!
