You are doing a very noble thing for these Kenyans helping them have a meal. Can you ask the villagers what is their long term plan, can we dig bore holes to help grow food and fodder for their animals ? And also plan for future occurrence. This is a 10 year cycle that needs proper planning so that in 2033 we can have enough then, because for sure it will come.

Biggest hindrance are the local politicians. They want money given to them for such noble projects then they do shoddy jobs and pocket the money.. The best way is to come as an aid organisation that is fully registered by the Kenyan government, that way you can do your projects independent of those hungry political hyenas.. Ithink irrigation should be practiced in this area..they should not just depend on raring animals alone..thats how they end up dying when drought comes..we can have drought but if you have fruits like mangoes tress..ovacadoes ..guava trees and watering them once in awhile..that place can be very fitile..they should plant dates like in the middle east..its a desert and they have all type of fruits..Egypt is a desert but its so rich ..Kenya is not adesert..it only have climate change..meaning there's a time those places experienced alot of rain..its the way they have not planned because they are used to free food..its time they teach them how to catch the fish by themselves

So why these people have to remain in this drought stricken area and die.? Why can't they move to the nearest country with the aid of the government.?? This is utter disregard for human beings. They are starving when food is available in other countries for them to partake whether by donations or otherwise. When I see this happening and I'm so far away it pains my heart.
