He should have told he's ex that he was with someone else and that it would be inappropriate to hug her

He didnt need to hug the ex, period. He knows ex still likes him. If these fools would dtop doing dumb ass s*** they wouldnt have to spend so much time doing damage control. If the ex needed comforting she's got other friends. If the shoe was on the other foot he wouldnt have liked it either. People really need to consider how their partner will feel if they were to see their actions. If they know it would hurt the person, that shoukd stop tgem from doing it. FL should be very cautious going forward. Yes he explained but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
