I absolutely agree with you about how it's so much better for parents to get divorced if there is fighting, or abuse or anything else like that. Tons of children understand that it's the better choice to divorce in those cases. Sadly, for a while I didn't really understand. My parents got divorced when I was 11 and it absolutely broke my heart and I couldn't truly understand why they got divorced. It tore me up for a long time and I was really sensitive about it whenever someone brought it up. I thought that our family was broken and that we wouldn't be happy anymore. I knew that my parents fought but I thought all parents did, there was no abuse and no violence, so I didn't understand why they couldn't just "work it out". I was a selfish kid who wanted her family back together because I didn't think I could be happy anymore when they got divorced. I was an only child so I felt extremely lonely as well sometimes. None of my friends had divorced parents (and they still dont) And all I did was blame myself for their divorce. I thought that if I didn't exist that they'd fall in love again. My parents divorce, along with my mother's miscarriage and the tons of bullying that happened to me at school caused me to be very depressed. I didn't truly understand why my parents got divorced until I was 14 and their explanation was still pretty vague. All I know is that there was no abuse, no cheating and no violence. They just didn't click. Then I remembered that while they were in love at one point they got married simply because my mom got pregnant with me. I'm almost 23 and my parents get along so much better while divorced then when they were married. I never talked to my parents about how I was feeling because I thought it would make things worse. Though, to this day, I will forever be grateful that I still have strong relationships with both my mom and my dad. I love them both, and all I want is for them to be happy.

@@Isosceles-Triangle Not always true. It depends on the situation, the age of the kid and other things. In my case I did tell my mom I would rather her to be divorced to my dad. My father was not a good husband or a present dad. My mom didn't want to get a divorce because of me and my sister. Eventually we told her that we were fed up seeing her working as hard as she did for us and being unhappy on top of it because of my father (who was a truck driver so mostly absent and an alcoholic so when he was home he wasn't any good either.) She ended up leaving him the day he put a hand on her. He hasn't even talked to me nor my sister for 2 years now. He's going to be a grandfather and doesn't even know. So I get your point but it's not always true. There is cases when a kid wants their parents to get divorced and there is also cases when not both of them deserve happiness.

This kid was raised by a woman, it should be no surprise that this kid is going to be more emotional than a lot of other men. That's not the mom's fault nor is it the kid's fault. The reason they're saying the kid is well raised is because he cares about what makes his mom happy. To be fair, that's just basic respect for his mom, i.e. the one who spent years and thousands of dollars towards raising him, but you don't see that kind of respect anymore, which is why people are saying that's he's well raised. The kid seems nice though, not trying to act tough for no reason like a lot of these other moronic kids.
