Absolutely love your reports, Polly. Yes, they were Roos. You have visited such great Aussie cities, but when you are walking and chatting, could you sometimes turn your camera around and show us all what you are seeing while you're walking? Aus is so beautiful and amazing. Please share your views. :)

They were roos. You'll see a fair few of them around Canberra around the outer suburbs.

You'll see them right on Parliament House and Capital Circle in the centre of the city. You do not have to go to the 'burbs. They are everywhere. Watch for them on the roads around Yarralumbla and Deakin in particular. They like the bushland areas along the lake there.

Grey Kangaroos. All good. Not wobblies. We have lots of wild roos. They are a danger on our roads. Welcome to Canberra. :)

To my knowledge there are no wallabies around Canberra, They would be Eastern Grey Kangaroos and live in all the bushland in and around the suburbs.

Can’t wait to read your Afghanistan piece.

They were Eastern Grey Kangaroos, so not that big compared to the Big Reds.

The mountain in Hobart is Mt Wellington not Nelson, lateral thinking? 😄 Canberra is very logical and well designed, the city is the city and around it is the natural landscape! 🤗 Australia supports many cricket teams like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka! 🇦🇺

Never ever approach wild roos

99% of the time they will just take off. The only roo I have ever had a problem with was one that was fed bread regularly by tourists and it wanted a loaf of bread I was carrying. My son was between it and me and so when it grabbed my arm and started to rock on its tail, I smacked it it the head a couple of times. It thought twice and took off. I still have scars on my arm 20 some years later. But it was not the roo that was the problem. It is the touros feeding the roos.

@@AndrewFishman Bread is bad for them. It sticks in their teeth and causes the teeth to rot. Apples and carrots are fine.

Just remain at a distance they consider they will be safe and you can enjoy watching them
