Wow Yolz😍. Both you and Lwazi are so brave to take on this journey and you are inspiring us. I have always loved and been intrigued by what lies in the rest of our continent. Fez will forever cherish this. There is an author called Sihle Khumalo who has done the entire Cape to Cairo route by public transport and he chronicled his journeys in a book. . You should read it if youre keen, its called Dark Continent, my black arse. Safe travels and God bless💜

Well done for paying them. I met some of this tribe in Windhoek CBD. I also paid them. Bought their hand made jewellery. I love how aware of how they are admired they are by tourists. Sure way to make sure no one takes advantage of them. Their hair is MAGICAL. Above all I really loved how they naturally protect their skin from the SUN. We pay so much for sun screen and feel so educated for knowing about SPF 20, 50 etc 😂😂😂 lotions! They don’t pay for their natural sunscreen lotion. Skin is popping. The earth takes care of their skin. Honestly also love that they are respected, not sexualised for how they dress. It is them being THEM. RESPECT! I would defs go back to Nam for them and the DAMARAN people, totally fascinated by their language. I am Xhosa. We have our clicks but nothing beats theirs. Also incredible how it is written. It’s nothing like what we have.

Hi Yolz and fam... I left some thoughts on your Botswana leg, but had to say something here about Etosha. I have known Etosha since my childhood back in the seventies and getting the best of this wild wonderworld you have to traverse it for a week at least. We would stay at Toshari Lodge Camping site on the western side and Onguma Lodge camping site in the eastern side. Etosha can catch visitors offguard like friends of ours who said "we saw nothing" while our photos show the exact opposite two months apart. The weather of course also plays a huge part. Point is, do visit Etosha again but stay outside the park for a week at least and cross over daily. You"ll be utterly surprised! Did you visit the Waterberg region near Okakara.... Much Blessing and safe travels from this lighter skinned African!
