Fun fact. At 9:28 you see a brown arch. This is the remains of the pier that the Titanic was supposed to arrive at and the location the survivors arrived. They were initially held in a hotel not far from where you are standing. It is a little known fact by millions of people who walk past it everyday but it’s a historical landmark.

I went to NYC in March of this year. I LOVED it (i am such a huge theatre nerd) , but the funny part was that my Service Dog loved it. He loved central park of course and walking everywhere, Was an absolute pro on the train, and loved every show we saw. Apparently some of the actors could see him from onstage during Merrily We Roll Along (im hard of hearing and was lip reading them talking about him) and Little Shop of Horrors and he would sit there wagging his tail while trying to see the stage. Stage dooring was his favorite thigh as I let him greet the actors (which most of them said also made their day). Genuinely cannot wait until I am able to go back

I'm SO glad you got to see Wicked the first time in it's theater designed and tailored for the play. When I experienced it in NY all the cast came out the side and I got the entire cast to sign my playbook! It was my birthday and it just made it super special and unexpected. The touring cast is also always amazing, anytime it comes into town I can't not go, it's my favorite ❤

I just got back from my first time in NYC… My husband and I went on the MSC Meraviglia on Nov 3-10 for my 50th birthday…spent 3 nights at the M social after the cruise… of course I knew that Tim had arranged this trip for your birthday seems I been watching you two since pretty much the beginning…I have been to Orlando 6 or 7 times and every time I spend my time looking for You and Tim… I just watched your vlog and realized that I was at the same show as you. I was so happy to see the High Line in your video. There is a children's book called The Curious Garden, by Peter Brown that is about the High Line. Peter Brown is the author of the book The Wild Robot which is in theaters now. I saw him speak recently and he said that when he was working on the book The Curious Garden, years ago, he doodled a robot that became Roz. He also said the chapters in the The Wild Robot are really short and that he did that intentionally because he struggled as a reader, and it was so hard for him to read a whole chapter, but he felt such a sense of accomplishment when he had. He also said that he worked as a student to chunk the reading, which is a great strategy to use when reading. He would stop along the way to check his understanding. The way he used short chapters in The Wild Robot is perfect for this strategy. Probably more than you wanted to know, but I was so happy when I saw the High Line in your video! I'm glad you had such a great time!

This was really interesting to watch. I really like hearing Jen talk about the trip from a friends trip/family trip perspective. Maybe when the kids are older and traveling gets easier Jen can go ahead for a couple of days then Tim joins with the kids to see both sides of the place you are visiting? As someone who will probably travel in the US for several weeks if not months when I come over from Aus, seeing you explore other locations in addition to Disney is really helpful.

There are escalators in Macys that have the wooden steps. They are so cool. Also I was just watching again where you went to Wicked and the Amish Market. My Uncle lives right around the corner from that Amish Market so every time I would go on business to New York I would pop in there and get some cheeses and charcuterie and take them to his apartment. Love New York at Christmas Time. Next time you need to also go to Central Park and walk around.

If you come back with the boys, there are a TON of things to do! Children’s Museum of New York, American Museum of Natural History, FAO Schwarz and Nintendo store in Rockefeller Center. So much amazing things to see! (Also, transit museum with all the trains in Brooklyn and a walking tour of Grand Central…)

Jenn these videos give me all the feels! You were in several of my old stomping grounds. I went to Chelsea Market ALL the time my senior year of college. I hope you got to see the beautiful Christmas lights hanging down the hall! New York most definitely has a TON of stuff to do with kids. I grew up there and then worked with kids later on.
