Seek Outside Redcliff Half Nest Install Tips

In this video, Dennis shows you a few tips on how to install a Redcliff Half Nest (screen room) inside a Redcliff shelter. These tips work well with most of our tipis. Remember, if you are going to be pitching the half nest often just leave the cordage attached to the internal stake out loops so you don't have to retie them every time.

Nests add a floor to the tent. It functions very much like a regular doublewall tent with a nest.

Just ordered my Cimarron. How do the gatekeeper straps take care of this? I may have to wait until; I get the canopy and I am putting an LBO nest inside.

We use the line loc adjusters on our nests so tying in the cordage works best.

What are the dimensions of the half nest of the Redcliff? Trying to decide which I should order soon and which would fit the Exped MegaMat Duo that is 77.6 x 52.

if installed in a 6 man tipi i guess you hang it from the center pole ??

You can use the pole or the gear hang loops just like in a Redcliff.

Yes, it will create a slight walkway in the middle and is a little tight but you can do it. With two nests you cannot run a stove though.

Two nest =no stove No go!! Whole point of this system is the wood stove!!!! I’m super impressed with this system!! The house wrap ground sheet is it noisy?

@@geneg3549 that was my question as well. Backcountry hunting, there's lot of ticks. Works be nice to have a two nest and still be able to have the stove.
