Hi. Have you update the shot Pro to the latest v2.09? I would like to see of there's any fix regarding the image quality. Im getting shot Pro too until I saw your video and now I'm hesitating. Please let me know if the v2.09 software fix the image quality problem or not. Thanks

I think you need to adjust your thermal tuning on the Seek, thats probably why the images look darker.

Thank you for you video. I'm still undecided. I appreciate this comparison even if the cost is different. The resolution is the same and with this I can see how much quality difference we will find in the image. Money is important but when working the output is more important. I think that it's better to know that to have a good quality image we need to stay away from Seek by the moment.... until they decide to give a impulse to their 320x240 sensor resolution. Or they do not have a 320x240 resolution sensor at all.

How far can the camera detect objects in terms of temperature? For example, can they find thermal bridges on objects if I stand so that I can see the whole object in the camera? I mean thermal bridges on houses.

You mentioned you do not turn your pilot off on your gas fireplace in the summer. What would the reason be? We do on ours...why pay for gas used while not using it? Thanks

I shot the same images at the same times. Any difference in thermal scale were the result of different fields of view or inaccuracies with the cameras.

i'm not sure I understand the point of this video? You are comparing apples with oranges.The FLIR camera costs 3 times as much , completely worthless comparison.

I agree. FLIR E6 is around $2000. SEEK ShotPRO around $700. All this shows is what more money can get you.

But, with the advertising, the company tries to make potential buyers think they are getting a camera that it is just as good or better, but in reality it isn't. When you look at the advertising they show much better pictures than the real life pictures in this video.

I don't see the the point in comparing a $700 Seek Thermal ShotPRO with a $2000 Flir E6 ??? Shouldn't you compare it with a camera at the same price range?!

Sorry. Think you needed to get the colour blend better matched for comparison to be more meaningful. Having seen other seek images elsewhere they show up much greater thermal detail than your demonstrating and greater than the flir. However appropriate distance focus seemed significant in the quality displayed. Maybe a case of your so used to using the flir that you need to adjust your approach to get to grips with the seek. The other thing is the effect that msx is having on flir is suggestive of greater detail but it's not thermal detail

After watching this video from 2 years go, I decided to return my Seek ShotPro and just started the return process. It's just not good enough. The image quality isn't great, and the firmware just hasn't improved it enough. Plus, the quality of the touch screen and display itself isn't there. It feels like touching it will break it.

To better use the slider, touch somewhere else on the bar and hold your finger down. Don't try to grab the slider. That doesn't work for some reason
