Again….such backstory …..helping us to understand “a moment in time “ of internal as well as external pressures by the artist’s observations of the extended world and what one does in their mind to survive…..even the mouse

Aww, where the heck did the mouse come from? lol. All these Latin men I've flirted with and no one's told me about bultos... I certainly didn't encounter any penitentes during my time in NM either. I wonder who the other missing figures were and why they've been removed. Maybe that's a comment Ufer intended to make: that grief and suffering are continual, but so are faith and hope. I also wonder why his parents chose Kentucky of all places to settle down, but I imagine that was work-related or because they already had relatives there. He had quite the interesting backstory. I'm inspired by his travels and willingness to adapt to his new homelands.
