In the non-NES version, putting the hamster in the microwave was intentionally part of the game. If the character that owns the hamster sees the dead hamster, he'll murder your character though. It's one of the handful ways to die in the game.

Can we agree Walupeach is a terrible name. It should be Wapeach. The "lu" of Waluigi was from LUigi. (edit) It's not Walurio, it's Wario. Wa- is the "evil twin" prefix, not Walu-. (/edit) In my horribly bad take, it's _almost_ as bad as the name Bowsette. "Peachette" was _Peach_ -ified Toad _ette_ , so by the same naming convention "Bowsette" would be a Bowser-ified Toadette, not a Peach-ified Bowser. That name should be something like "Peachser". People in the Mario fandom don't know how naming conventions work and it's DRIVING ME NUTS!!!

My understanding is that Wario is based on the Japanese word 悪 (waru) or 悪い (warui) meaning "bad". Waluigi makes even more sense as L and R have the same pronunciation. Warupeach or Walupeach would be the most consistent with this pattern. Also, I submit that Peachowser sounds better than Peachser. So, I playfully disagree
