Next neighbourhood you should have a look at is Kagurazaka. We stayed there end of March this year and the retro hotel and bar was amazing! Tatami bedroom upstairs and down stairs the most amazing intimate bar with Yuuki the barman who made the BEST cocktails. Definitely worth checking out. Across the road is a okonomiyaki place as well that made the best Osaka style okonomiyaki. Tourists for some reason didn’t really seem to be there, more of a hip place that locals live. We loved it so much we want to try and buy a holiday house there.

There are several universities in this area, and since it is a student town, there are also many bookstores. In addition, there are many cases where bookstores and curry restaurants are attached, making it a competitive area for curry restaurants. The neighboring town, Ochanomizu, is lined with musical instrument stores, making it a place where those interested will never get bored.
@wasabigirl20047 ай бұрын
@@socks_cat356 Seera, you did an interesting video clip on a musical instrument store (Yamaha?) a while ago. Was that near Jimbocho?
@socks_cat3567 ай бұрын
@@wasabigirl2004 Yes, it's very close. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the bookstore district to the musical instrument store district, and Ochanomizu Station is also nearby.

This place looks like the perfect place to visit for me whenever I get the chance to go to Japan. I collect a lot of old Japanese film magazines, mostly キネマ旬報. Right now I get them imported from 2nd hand/proxy sites which is quite pricey and it would just be so cool to browse through old magazines and books in person. Edit: If you don't mind, or if someone else knows, what's the location of the store at 7:40?
@deioped7 ай бұрын
That Dosa in Singapore would cost you maybe 500JPY at an expensive place, or even as cheap as 200JPY at a neighbourhood stall and it would come with a fuller filling and way more curry. Seems like indian food in Japan ain't cheap.
