Assalamualaikum Sheikh, maybe you can start a series of videos on false or unverified stories in the seerah, bi'ithnillah.

​@@IslamLife2Assalamu Alaykum. With good words and kindness I sincerely advice you to stick to audios rather than videos. Akhi, What's the benefit in spreading videos? Even the Scholars that permit Videos permit it on the condition that there is a benefit achieved by it. What is the benefit here that we can't find in Audio? Akhi, the Prophet ﷺ prohibited Images of Living Souls. Videos are Images.

Dear sheikh, what about the books of stories of the sahabah? Does this need for authenticity exist for the sahabah also?

May Allah bless you. No matter the book, including books of hadeeth, the standard is always like this: is the hadeeth or story authentic, having an authentic, continuous chain of narration that is free from apparent or hidden defects? As you know, the imams of Islam accepted the vast majority of Bukhari's and Muslim's hadeeth collections. They stated, as my shaikh Al-Albani asserted, that hadeeths in other than Bukhari and Muslim must be analyzed to assert authenticity or the lack of it, before we accept any hadeeth. It is not possible to examine this stance and then say that for seerah, there is no such standard as some brothers seem to suggest. Every book that ascribes statements or actions to the Prophet of Allah, salla Allahu alaihi wa-sallam, or to his Companions about what touches the religion, has to be applied to this standard. Otherwise, scholars of hadeeth filter the Prophet's hadeeth while books of seerah send stories, that do not have authentic chains of narration, back into the Prophet's hadeeth, thus making the efforts of the scholars of hadeeth literally useless. And why stop at seerah books? What about fiqh, adab, shareeah law, etc., should we also abandon what hadeeth scholars said about evidences used in these books? This is the destruction of Islam if it happens.
