Thanks to his book, I am able to find the roots of my suffer and am working toward living peace with it. When someone has an addiction, instead of pointing a finger at that person, perhaps we should ask that person what had happened to them. I hope you will continue to fight hard to stay clean. I'm 65 and I still love this song. It takes me back to when I heard it the first time. Evanescence is one of my favorite bands. Music like this keeps me young at heart, and with 8 grandkids, they are always introducing me to newer stuff, just like I introduce them to the music from back in the day, like the blues, jazz, soul, country, rock & roll, the list goes on and on. I always tell people that I have 3 types of favorite music , 1) Stevie Ray Vaughan, 2) Bonnie Raitt (who I believe are twin flames, or both sides of the same coin...so to speak), and 3) Everything else. 😉 Music can speak volumes for you when you don't have the right words to express how you feel inside. 😘

The ending is the most important part of the song. Amy is literally speaking to him through the wall and he is just numb giving her nothing but at the same time feels the same way she does. This is the kiss of death for many relationships not knowing how to communicate so you stay broken because in some way it’s easier than the possibility of the feeling of rejection. Probably the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in a music video.

Broken (feat. Amy Lee) Seether I wanted you to know I love the way you laugh I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away I keep your photograph And I know it serves me well I wanna hold you high and steal your pain 'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome And I don't feel right when you're gone away You've gone away You don't feel me here anymore The worst is over now and we can breathe again I wanna hold you high and steal my pain away There's so much left to learn And no one left to fight I wanna hold you high and steal your pain 'Cause I'm broken when I'm open And I don't feel like I am strong enough 'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome And I don't feel right when you're gone away 'Cause I'm broken when I'm open And I don't feel like I am strong enough 'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome And I don't feel right when you're gone away 'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome And I don't feel right when you're gone You've gone away You don't feel me here anymore

That's because shaun morgan is a top-notch musician and lyricist. The OG with just him is better because this was a song about his heartbreak when his 1st wife refused to come to the US with shaun when they got their record contract. I imagine there are ample regrets being not only talked in to allowing someone to sing on his song who would go on to back stab him, degrade him then try to backtrack when she got huge flack for it and managed to alienated nearly everyone who's ever worked with her.
