Seether covers Nirvana as good as Nirvana covers the Meat puppets, and Leadbelly. This was one of the best covers i've heard from one of my favorite bands. Seether, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Mad Season, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, are my biggest influences. Love this! The Seattle Grunge Movement is what influenced these guys. Thank god for that !

I loved Nirvana but, Honestly Kurt is not that hard, I can sing him in key with ease. Kurt was a good singer, with a basic vocal range. Chris Cornell, now That is a range I could not match ! Best Vocal range from the Grunge era !

I heard Seether live & they did this song & I started crying. Shaun sounded so much like Kurt & I'm a huge Nirvana fan & was born after Kurt died so I never had the chance to see Nirvana perform. I cried because through Seether doing the song I felt like I was able to catch a glimpse of what it would have been like to see Nirvana perform. While Seether played I just cried &closed my eyes & ang along. If I could I'd thank Seether for performing this song it touched my heart &I'll never forget it.

He's better than Kurt - and if Nirvana didn't exist, every song Seether released would get recognition like they deserve - but too many people make this inane comparison. They do not sound that similar, it's just the beautiful grunge voice. It's like how you can describe 2 guys as 5'10 with curly brown hair, glasses, and a beard, and yet, that description matches countless people.

I stil remember the first time I heard seether. I thought it was some unreleased nirvana that had been discovered. This brings it full circle. I actually met the band and got front row for a show in Helsinki on my 29th birthday. Sean gave me the pic he used to play the show. I am still stoked almost a decade later.

some part of me would like to see shaun, krist, and obviously dave do a couple of nirvana reunion, slash ‘tribute’ shows.. and maybe donate the money to a suicide charity or give it to frances b. it’s a touchy subject - and no one is gonna be perfect for the role, but he’d at least do it justice i feel. this would be great for those of us who were fans of nirvana in the 90s, but were too young to see a show. or for those who have been a fan since they remember but never got to experience a show.
