To me it always made sense that they don't like each other. Athena was a goddess of strategy and wisdom, and the Sea - which is Poseidon's realm - is unpredictable in its nature. They are polar opposites.

@Gi Gi agian incorrect that’s not the case you would know if you actually read my comment. Her twin brother is the one that overthrows Zuse and that doesn’t even mean he is more powerful. Cronos was weaker then his Dad and he overthrown him. Also Zuse was weaker then Cronos and he overthrown him. Their won because of strategy. You are just wrong Zuse, Hades, Poseidon, Hurcules and even Hera are more powerful. Yes think about itHera may not be fight but poeple are far more afraid of her the Hera and Athena is Zuses favorite. people are Athena is weaker then all of them she is not the chosen one that is her Twin brother do some research. In fact Athena was Afraid to Fight Poseidon after he got his revenge on Athena. Athena also Took advantage of the situation when Hera and the other Olympian’s Tied him up, she also submitted to him along with everyone else when he was free showing she fears Zuses power, she was only not punished because she was Zuses favorite.

I get why the Athenians would vote in such a way(It's because the life of men and women are too different), but here's something ridiculous, Olympians were treated the same regardless of gender(I believe is most likely) and that is why it is ridiculous that all Male ones voted Poseidon and all females voted Athena(It is kinda realistic I guess, but still ridiculous)

Id choose Poseidon over Athena cuz the sea surrounds the city and it is a vast natural resource compared to a tree. Though people can benefit from knowledge, knowledge is futile with an empty stomach. Plus Poseidon was already there first so its more fair to choose him over Athena. both gods can be petty so no one wins tbh regardless on who we choose.

To be honest, how did that make him not mad. He had like a statue and stuff. The Athinies got most of their stuff from him/due to his blessing, push him away for a single duckin tree. He logically gets angry at all the Inconsistencies. And the humans are like, we could take away the women's right to vote. Poseidon: They considered the gifts of the sea lesser than that of a single duckin tree. Humans: How about a temple?

Why does most of the time, Poseidon is always depicted as younger than Zeus? Like I mean dark hairs and such whereas Zeus is all grey/white? Is he the older brother of Zeus?
@michasalamon8315
@michasalamon8315 3 жыл бұрын
Zeus is either the youngest or the middle brother with Hades or Poseidon being the oldest. The original art shows Zeus woth dark Brown hair, but modern media insist on making him look like old dude since he is sky god and for some reason most people think sky god= old guy
@JonathanGhost42
@JonathanGhost42 3 жыл бұрын
He is in most versions older than Zeus, but they are gods and so their appearence is not limited to human biology - and depicting Zeus as older is mostly just an artistic choice to present him more as the patriachalic leader of the gods.
@rensalazar
@rensalazar 3 жыл бұрын
It's because Zeus is older than the rest of his siblings. True, he was originally the youngest of them all, but because he wasn't the only one who didn't get eaten by their father Kronos, Zeus aged while his older sibs (who were trapped in Kronos' belly at the time) didn't age. They got "reborn" when Zeus had them spat out by Kronos. That's how Zeus is originally the youngest of them all but also the eldest one. At least this is trivia that I got from playing Immortals: Fenyx Rising (great game!)

@@rensalazar This top comment above mine people, this top comment above mine here settles many disputes on the topic of why Zeus looks older, and is younger at the same time.
