We traveled to Florida for a friend’s wedding last weekend, and ended up making a mini vacation out of our trip! The kids were in awe of the beauty of the beach!

I'm impressed by how you guys teach your children about God. I was the last of 5 children raised by an alcoholic father and a money loving mother. They didn't know or care where I was or what I was doing, as long as I was not under foot. I remember when I was about 6 years old, staying outside when Daddy came home drunk because he and my mother would fight. I would stay outside way after dark and nobody would ever say anything or come looking for me. I would come inside only when I didn't hear the arguing. I was for the most part, on my own. When I became an adult, I was expected to have the highest morals. That was so that the community would think we were good people. I was saved years ago and I do love the Lord. My folks have passed and none of my siblings will associate with me. I love to watch your family because it shows me that there are families that genuinely care about each other. Thank you for sharing your life with those of us who are not as blessed as you but wish we were.
@abby81333 жыл бұрын
Said a prayer for you. I was a child of alcoholics too. Thankfully both of mine were able to recover. My Daddy recently passed away due to cirrhosis even though he was 16 years along in his sobriety. Praying the Lord fills those empty voids you might feel with not having the family your heart desires to have had. And that you are able to be an encourager to those that might cross your path who have walked a similar road. Sending hugs!!

As intelligent as Ivy is, she'll be potty-trained before she's 2 (if she isn't already potty-trained). I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she isn't already potty-trained. Jessa is so lucky to have her little family, so covered in genuine love. We, the viewers, are lucky, because they give us such a perfect example as parents, they are the perfect example of love, something I've never seen before. One time Spurgeon was "interrupting" Jessa's filming with paper airplanes, and instead of telling him to go away, she said "I need to stop filming and watch your show". I was impressed. That was only one of many examples. Just watch Jessa's YT channel, and you will get more guidance and teaching about how to be a sweet, loving parent than sitting in any sermon listening to a preacher talk about it. I'm sure she's encouraged lots of people to be better parents, through her example. She and Ben are setting their kids up to win. Raising your kids up with true, genuine love gives them so much power and momentum and self-confidence, they can do anything they want. I hope Jessa has lots more kids. She and her husband are the kind of parents the world needs more of. They are the example of real, true Christian love.
