Ron Wasserman's songs redone through the Genesis, to me, was so awesome at the time that I would just sit in the Options screen and thoroughly abuse the Music Test. Used to drive me nuts that the audio programmer went with digitized voice samples during gameplay, every time your Ranger would yell out a "Hyah!" the drum samples would cut out.

***** It's a shame this particular game wasn't better though. It's not the worst game I've ever played, but it's very short, very easy, and very lazy. There are only two types of enemies in the game not counting bosses! I would have felt ripped off as a kid spending $50 or $60 of my birthday money or saved up allowance on it.

DUSTINODELLOFFICIAL Yeesh, that's a shame. The SNES MMPR game was pretty good. Nice boss variety, decent graphics, top notch level design for a beat-em up/platformer, and it got the license down pat. My only complaint is that they just palette swapped the Red Ranger, which means Pink and Yellow's proportions are super wrong.

***** I looked it up and I've played that with my friends, but I was a kid the last time I did. I see what you mean about Pink and Yellow, but I always thought it was weird (even as a kid) that the Yellow Ranger didn't have any boobs in the show. Pink and Yellow in the SNES game look a little... strong... lol

+Chad Serrant However, the Genesis version at least followed the movie's story unlike the SNES where the only thing movie-related was that you fought Ivan Ooze at the end. If you replaced him with Lord Zedd and the Ninja Megazord with the Thunder Megazord then you'd have a more accurate adaptation of MMPR Season 2.

+Webshooters1 Like I just told someone else, I'm not a big MMPR fan but I imagine that since the show and movie were at the peak of their popularity, stuff was probably changing in the story quickly enough that they were quickly subbing in new characters to match the show/toy lines etc. The Genesis MMPR movie game doesn't follow the movie for quite a bit of it actually, half of the story is played out in flashback... and it's already really short! I am wondering if the game even began life as being a game based on the movie.

i didn't remember those songs in the show, i grew up listening to this. one day a friend came up with the cd "power rangers a rock adventure" then i understood the whole thing. It sounds pretty good on the genesis.

thanks for a wonderful upload! i always knew that mmpr movie genesis version is hands down the best power rangers video game in history, keeping very accurately close to source material. i too have a moded genesis (model 1) with 3bp (audio and video) and the sound quality is very clear and sharp without noise issues.

DUSTINODELLOFFICIAL Oh I see. Fair enough. Well Shuki wrote the actual theme song and worked on any additional pieces such as the Command Center tune, Bulk and Skull's theme and Lord Zedd's theme. The actual insert songs (like Fight, We Need A Hero etc.) were all by Ron Wesserman. The Japanese composer just provided 16-bit versions for this game as well as one original track for this game. Hope this helps.

I watched the movie long ago, but as far as I remember, it was great. I has this game for Mega Drive but didn't like it much at first, due to it low difficult (I'm my opinion) now, at a older age, I'm listening to these songs and noticing how good they really were, though at at time I hadn't this perception.
