I'm not sure it's a good idea. Look at what they have done to Mario and Sonic.
@SianaGearz4 жыл бұрын
@@brorianszk I have never seen an animated Mario. Sonic had several animated iterations and they were... ok there was the nonsensical and memorable SatAM which i guess works well enough with what the games were going for, and there was the Sonic X, actual anime, which was completely average and easy to ignore, but... you know, it's easy to match or beat the likes of Pokemon and Sailor Moon on quality, and those somehow became pop culture legends.
@brorianszk4 жыл бұрын
@@SianaGearz There wasn't much to see in Mario but I don't remember well. man I was looking through the manual for this game and honestly I think they were trying really hard to encourage something like that to happen. weirdly detailed story, some elements of which never show up in game... for instance Rocket Knight has a disgraced master who has a personal beef with the main antagonist. the character designs are cute enough too that they totally could have had a jaleel white sonic type thing goin on

It really goes to show how powerful, versatile, and capable the Genesis was in the hands of a dedicated composer that understood the power of FM synthesis. I imagine it has to do with Konami having such a huge presence in the arcade where FM sound was the standard, so their composers likely cut their teeth on Yamaha chips and could adapt that to the Genesis hardware.

I've heard this game sounds off on a Model 1 Genesis. Apparently, the game was made for the Model 2 Genesis and playing it on a Model 1 makes certain synth patches sound strange. I played the game on a Model 1, VA6, High-Deginition Graphics, TMSS System, start to finish and I didn't notice anything out of place that I didn't hear from this upload. Anything strange I did hear was Stereo separation screwing with me, because my PC Speakers are only in Mono and I'm so used to that. That and my CRT sounds weird when in Stereo. In Mono through the TV Speakers or Stereo through a pair of headphones, it's fine. I wanted to know if the game does sound any better on a Model 2 and what Model and Board revision of the console was used to play and upload this. Thanks in advance!
