My first thought is that Stella is Sarah brainwashed again but I'm not sure they'd do something that obvious. So I'm guessing Stella is a clone of Sarah and Sarah has been kidnapped. Sounds like good motivation for Jacky to be involved and doing what he'll be doing in this new story line.

I'm predicting that Sarah's play style & move set is going to be significantly different in the next VF. People who want to play Sarah's original will play Stella, hence she is a bridge to the previous VF games for the Sarah players. Similar to the Jin/Devil Jin situation in Tekken 5. Story wise I doubt Stella will be Sarah's daughter. Akira looks older but he's not middle age...maybe in his 30s? So if Stella is Sarah's daughter she would still be a child.

Why would Sarah still be playable when we have Stella? VF characters are always unique unlike Tekken and the other fighting games.

All I know is, Siba will make his official return to the game. He ultimately got replaced by Akira and Akira ended up being the face of the franchise. This is also setting us up for a Fighters Megamix 2 - which I truly believe could happen. If they re-introduce Fighting Vipers into the fold, then FM2 - is very possible. 2025 we eating good for those who like fighting games. 2025 is a new fatal fury, more SF6, More Tekken 8 and a new VF Discussion the rest of this year. Wild times. It's like the 90s all over again.

One of the major problems of fighting games today, is the one player mode does not matter. I am glad to hear Sega is gonna try to deal with this issue by giving us a story mode in the game. I have no idea what is going on in VR I also hope they keep the great tutorial mode they had from VF4 Evolution. Keep up the great work Lady Serpentine!

Given Akira's aged look, I think it's safe to say that there's an in-game time skip between VF5 and this one so I think Stella is either Sarah's daughter or she's a Jeet Kune Do student and models her look and style on Sarah. This might be something like Virtua Fighter: New Generation where there will be a lot of new faces and very minimal old ones returning since this is one of the few fighting games that hasn't done that trope yet.

As a Lau Chan main for the entire existence of this franchise im a little sad and wishing that, if they let the character go at least bring his fighting style back with those supposed new faces. Maybe a disciple or someone younger tied to him and Pai.

Stella is most likely a bryant and the daughter of either Jacky or Sarah. I don't know where this clone nonsense comes from. Historically SEGA has done this before with several of their games where descendants of previous characters become the protagonist in the new game in their respective series so expect VF to do the same. Storywise VF6 could introduce a time gap between VF5 and this new game. What leads credence to this, is the title of Akira's new theme being called Return of Akira which indicates he's been absent from the tournament and society in general for a while, which explains his new look and chinese style costume. Bridge between worlds which is Stella's theme could also refer to the new generation meeting the old generation as Stella is new but uses the same moves sarah and jacky has but with moves unique to her as well. But we will see.

I think people in the comments and yourself if you haven't already need to read the actual famitsu article instead and not the bullet points from reset era or other places because after reading the article, this new VF game sounds more like streetfighter 6/ Yakuza game with one on one encounters rather than being a straight up VF Vs game. From what they said about the ring outs scenario and the interactive locales and the extra buttons because its a console game, its all adding up to be a hybrid fighting arcade adventure game with versus mechanics rather than a straight up versus fighter. A Vs Rpg which Shenmue was originally being planned to be with Akira before they changed it.

Man, the majority of youtubers covering vf 6 dont know a ton about Vf's story.. Nice to see someone with some knowledge. Hope the yakuza team get it right which is something their known for along with presentation. Intermediate to high level Vf is dayum near high speed chess.. I hope they dont go messing with the gameplay too much

Why make Stella look like Sarah? Please for the love of God make every character distinct and unique from each other. Don't make this updated virtual fighter and then have people on the roster that look like pallet swaps. We already know there aren't going to be a whole lot of characters compared to current fighting games. So please please make everybody unique.

@MrDp115 man with how long it takes for these companies to make games, with how much money they need to make basic stuff, with how they cut up the game into pieces and slowly drip feed those parts back to us for money, the last, the very last thing we need are pallet swapped character from the start. I don't want a greatest hits character with a couple a moves from this character and a couple of moves from that character. then it's "see! It's technically a new character! So now our roster of 8 characters is actually 9 if you really think about it!" No Thank You No more buffet characters No more pallet swaps No more, relative of popular character so that's why they have the exact same move set. Games ain't Givin us much now as it is.

Are we sure this is not gonna be a prequel? Akira looks like a different person and the setting looks like an older era like 70s 80s. Maybe Stella is Jacky and Sarah's mom? Or maybe Stella is just the name of one of the stages in the game and just happened to be on the photo of Sarah. I dunno it feels like it's gonna be a prequel / reboot kinda story
