Bro I can relate to this, that fcking sucks, yes it may seem like a ‘stereotypical teen on their phones 24/7’ but that’s keeping them from socializing, that’s practically keeping them from coping. Heck, there are so many things to do on the internet, that’s like taking half of someone’s life away. And yes it may seem like we are so addicted it’s become our 2nd life, but technically it is, a life where’re can take a break from harsh reality, or one where we can have *a little bit* more control over. It’s absolutely devastating to here something like that come out your parent’s/guardian’s mouth, and I can totally relate rn 😭 We’ll miss you on your break and I’m so sorry this is happening to you, it must be a pain

Not to mention our generation literally grew up on electronics and that is something we can't even control, and she tells me to talk to someone i trust when needed but how do i do that without a phone during the summer. And i didn't even get a phone until i was 13. Plus she is on her phone 24/7 to the point she doesn't even hear her kids call for her. I just don't understand the logic behind it. Also the main thing i do on my phone and laptop is doing digital art, making videos, or watching youtube to have a break from the 2.
