I remember playing this as a kid (had bought it from Japan).. It had inspired greatly a very little comic I did, it was only one little story, called "Ulfhedinn Saga". When I was in 11th grade, I made a little game with my friends based on it, in programming class lol. It was a strategy game, heavily influenced by Shining Force, and Final Fantasy Tactics, basically those two games combined. The main character Gunnulf, was the youngest son of a jarl- but was taken by the leader of a wolf clan, because his father had failed to keep his promise to them, after they aided him in a battle. Being that his young son in his eyes is a runt, he gives him up to the wolves, instead of his eldest and strongest son (he hides him) lol. I think after I complete the current project, I would like to go back into this and do the same thing. If made into a game today, I still would very much like it to play like Shining Force, and Final Fantasy Tactics, though with some new ideas I think about for strategy games, to make them more intense. If redone today, I'd totally want it done by Arc Systems. ^_^

Not really. Fire Emblem is an older series than Feda. But Im pretty sure they borrowed some gameplay elements from this.

It doesn't feel like they improved gameplay or music more than the SNES version. :( I feel it doesn't hold a candle to Shining Force. :c

As kids, a friend and I used to always refer to Feda as "better Shining Force" because of some of the little things it does, like having fewer characters who are just generic fighters that can't do anything but perform basic attacks. However, many years later when I revisited and finally beat Feda, I couldn't bring myself to agree with that past opinion. Granted Feda does do some things better, Shining Force does more things better in my opinion. As for comparing this to the SNES version, the main differences from what I've experienced and read (although I never actually beat the Saturn version myself) was improved graphics for the battle sequences, many story sequences were converted to anime cutscenes, and there were a couple new playable characters and endings added. Some of the preexisting characters I believe were also given some new special attacks, including some who originally didn't have any at all.
